Mod 11 Part 1: SwitchPros SP9100
As I started planning out this build, one thing that I wanted to be sure that I got right the first time was the electrical system. In Sirius Black, I had a bit of a janky electrical system with a fuse block, a handmade switch panel, and all kinds of wires going in and out of the engine bay and cab. It was a bit of a mess, but functional in the end. I wanted to avoid the engine bay spaghetti of wiring this time, so I picked up a few pieces of gear to get it done.
This electrical system consists of the following parts:
-SwitchPros SP9100
-PowerTray Engine Bay Mounting Tray
-BlueSeas Fuse Block and Circuit Breaker
-SDHQ Dash Mount for SP9100
-BlueSeas Bus Bars
Building this could not have been more simple. One of the best parts of this setup is that you can simply build it outside of the vehicle and then drop it right in. Being able to cut all the wires down, line them up, crimp them, heatshrink them, etc is so much nicer from the comfort of your own couch.
Making the first cut on the SP9100 wiring was a bit scary, but in the end, I am really happy with the progress I have made. Stayed tuned for the next updates and pictures on how I finished it.
